Homework assignment: Choose a lecture, do the exercises, write a comment on why you chose it and if it was useful/easy/difficult... etc.
Post a comment (add your initials and 'course code' - TE EK1 for example).

  2. To 'undo' the bad influence my very short sample comment might have, I'll try to add a more appropriate one. Like this:

I watched the video about computer programming, the very basic one http://www.khanacademy.org/video/introduction-to-programs-data-types-and-variables?playlist=Computer+Science because I knew nothing about it before.
It was interesting and understandable enough and I think I might try it to see if it works. Also I heard how to say math symbols, like
    'is equal to'
    'times to' for multiplication
which might be useful for me.
I did not find any exercises there, so I clicked on 'practice' and did the exercise on measuring angles. Just for fun. I haven't measured any angles since I went to school ages ago and never on a computer, so I also had to watch the video Stuck? Watch a video. (bottom-right) which helped me to do it. It was fun and informative.

    - now it is possible to copy the link and find it if anybody else wants to do that, also there is some information about it for others.

  4. I chose the video Distance Between Planes (http://www.khanacademy.org/video/distance-between-planes?playlist=IIT+JEE+Questions), because I had to practice for upcoming test in Linear Algebra this Wednesday.
It was really easy to understand, but because in class we had different approach to this subject instead of understanding it, it made me doubt my previous knowledge. So I had to watch one more video. During the second video Point Distance to Plane (http://www.khanacademy.org/video/point-distance-to-plane?playlist=IIT+JEE+Questions) I tried to put differences aside, and it was easier to follow, but the end did not match what I have learned: point distance to plane has not a negative value!

But the learning method is quite beneficial and I think I'll visit this page again.

  19. Hello,

First of all I wanted to thank you for introducing us this amazing site for highly scientific videos. There are so many great topics so it was quite difficult to select one.I'm pretty sure I will be back soon for more videos.
Now to the video, I selected,

    http://www.khanacademy.org/video/supernova--supernovae?playlist=Cosmology+and+Astronomy

because I'm really excited about astronomy and space itself. Among the various topics I selected the one I have heard but didn't know the actual meaning. It was the Supernova. Now I know it means the explosion of a star and the formation of heavier elements. Also this video discussed about Black holes, Uranium on Earth and the formation of our solar system. In general the video was comfortable to watch, because the narrator or the lecturer had a clear voice. Also the "blackboard" was better than our regular blackboards in real life since the colours used were much more brighter and colourful, which means everything was clear and well organised. Not to mention the ability to paste pictures and draw on them in order to explain the topic better. If you don't understand some parts you can always play the video again- you cant do that in real lecture. And even more they have given us some exercises about the subject, which troubled me at first but after watching the video again I got the answers.

    Going for more videos,
