  1. This film definitely meets my specialty and in this movie we can consider the many sources of energy (current of the river, blowing wind, stony earth, sand, and of course a lot of oil), because nature is beautiful, we clearly can see the energy sources, but in my opinion and it was all crystal clear and you know I really liked nature.

  2. As home assignment, PM of EK2011KÕ class is hereby posting comments on the following video:

Jor-El: Last-ditch appeal to save the planet.

It is peculiar how a 1930's comic book based movie reflected so many of today's concerns. In a sense we seem to be in the same boat with Jor-El, the real father of Superman. Although our planet is not terminally drawn to the sun by it self we too face the ugly truth that the earth is far to small, recourses are getting scarce and there are just too many of humans exploiting Her. So in the long run, I think we need a father of a Superman/woman (or even multitude of them) on our own, down here on earth, to seek out a New-Earth, Pandora, TerraNova or how ever you might want to call our future home planet which could support the ever-growing hunger for energy and recourses.

I hope this will suffice. The movie clip was not directly related to my speciality.

  3. MV from EK2011.
I watched Steven Cowley video: Fusion is energy's future.
It was quite interesting to watch this video, but also rather difficult to understand all of it at the first time. There are lot of scientific phrases.
Fusion power provide more energy than any other known power source, but it is difficult to bring it on to the everyday use. Hopefully scientists achieve this goal, because our world energy demand is growing rapidly.

An interesting and beautiful film, initially a lot of pessimism, but in the end all, as always, happy end. Many of the facts in
this film overblown, overstated the value of oil... To my mind, in the future man will make use of
energy sources that we have forgotten how to use. Everything is interconnected - if someone dies, then
someone else will appear. One species dies, another appears. If there will be no oil - there will be something else, etc.
And no need to be afraid of global warming and various far-fetched phrases like the depletion of the planet's resources.

  6. On a TED's talk website I found a bit older and very interesting clip. One Indian guy developed a device that allows to use everyday objects on the computer. It looks so easy to use, all the things he is showing and talking about. It also seems to be lots of fun. The device itself is a bit clumsy but the idea is brilliant.

Home - I agree with the second comment that this film wasn't directly related to energy speciality but it was really good and interesting movie.

  7. Home- i have been seen lots of movies like that it wasn't actuali a best one. It's take a lot to force myself o follow it to the end. But about the topic. World is our home today, but from where are we coming from? There is so much questions about that I think. It obious for me that we are not the first civilisatsion who lives and dies in that planet. Death is a natural thing in planet. In one day the life and hole ecosystem will collaps. It can go one like that, population of humans rising so fast and all the problems what have been touched in this movie is showing that something is going to happend. No one knows what or when ... maybe we can continue our lives in other planets doe to the space programs. The earth is a very small peace form universe, there are too many to explore and maybe we never get to the truth.

Ted talks movie i wached is about asteroids, how to avoid them to hit the planet. I posted it in the topic but It seemed to be in wrong place so i paste it here to:

It's interesting subject and I think there is so much to investigate.
In teory is it possible to move asteroids form deadly orbits, but we don't know does it work for big asteroids.
No practical proof or the goverments just don't show all facts about this project.
How sure is that we can spot the asteroids moving towars to the earth? Maybe in some cases we don't have time to do something against it.

I watched Yves Rossy video of Jetman project.
It started 20 years ago of a dream to fly like a bird, having minimal equipment to carry.
Idea borned when he were skydiving. He dreamd changing angels and increase altidude.
Now he has small winds and 4 turbines, wich keeps him up and moving.Equipment weights about 55 kg, Max spees has been about 300Km/h.
He has fuel for 8 minutes.
To change rotation, he uses his body. To dive he neels his head foward and to increase altidude, neels head to back.
Longest distance he has flew was crossing the English channel, 35km in 13 minutes.
    Great toy to play with.
